    Business Development Manager

    Counting King | Grants, Tax Incentives & Business Finance

    Office-based in Salford Quays, Greater Manchester. Full-time 35-hour working week, Monday – Friday.

    Basic salary £24,000 - £30,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience) plus generous uncapped commission.

A leader in the R&D Tax sector, we have expanded our offering to include Business Finance and other Tax Services. Our ultimate goal is to provide an all-encompassing finance function for our clients.

    The Role:

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an office-based Business Development Manager to join our growing internal sales team. Reporting to our Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving the commercial success of our Tax Services function.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and expand our prospect database using a variety of sales prospecting methods, to attract new clients and referral partners to use Counting King as their provider of choice
    • Maintain a wide network of clients and referral partners, managing these relationships with professionalism
    • Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of all our products, services and solutions, with an emphasis on our tax services
    • Recognise and respond to changing client needs, providing recommendations for continuous improvement
    • Manage inbound queries from new and existing clients and partners in a timely manner
    • Deliver on KPIs as set by the business
    • Work cohesively with other departments to ensure clients receive best possible service

    Skills and Experience Required:

    Essential:

    • Some experience with or an interest in sales / business development
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage and build relationships with clients
    • Strong work-ethic, self-motivated and proactive, with a results-driven mindset
    • Strong organisational skills
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Good computer literacy
    • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team

    Desirable:

    • Some experience in financial services or tax services
    • Proven sales target delivery experience
    • Network within the SME world
    • Knowledge of tax incentives such as Research & Development Tax Credits, Embedded Capital Allowances and Land Remediation Relief
