Investigo are exclusively partnering a leading and instantly recognisable brand to help recruit a Head of Group Reporting on a permanent basis.
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, this is a high profile will high visibility to senior stakeholders.
The role is responsible for the monthly consolidation process involving multi-national entities, and the associated financial reporting in accordance with IFRS.
Working closely with the Systems Accountants, the role will validate the statutory entity hierarchy,reporting account hierarchies, and creation of a group charts of accounts.
The role is also responsible for producing the half-year and year-end consolidated financial statements.Responsibilities:
- Ownership of the monthly, halfyear, and yearend reporting packs, including driving consistency and improvement in the quality of the reported information
- Ensuring all entity reporting across all jurisdictions is fully compliant with group policies and procedures
- Production of monthly consolidated management accounts and key performance indicators
- Collaborating with Strategic Business Unit Finance Directors on the ongoing development of consolidation and reporting processes to improve the timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of financial information
- Production of halfyear and yearend consolidated financial statements
- Supporting the Group Financial Controller with the halfyear and yearend listed group reporting, including preparation of the Annual Report
- Supporting the Group Financial Controller with managing the external audit relationship on all operational matters
- Supporting local statutory reporting requirements, including preparing and filing of all local annual statutory accounts
- Supporting the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis with the production of the consolidated annual budget and the consolidated quarterly forecasts
- Supporting the Group Financial Controller with the preparation of technical accounting papers to support positions taken by the group
- Supporting the Group Financial Controller with the development and maintenance of appropriate groupwide accounting policies and guidance
- Supporting all other group corporate governance requirements, Plc board requirements and associated disclosures
- Managing and developing the group reporting team
Skills/Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with experience gained in similar working environment
- Minimum of 510 years post qualified experience
