Would you like to be part of an exciting team? We are looking for two HR Advisors to hit the ground running, provide valuable advice, coaching and guidance to our managers, work on interesting projects including staff survey, culture, sickness and staff retention.
Reporting in to the Assistant HR Business Partner, our HR Advisors are at the heart of helping the Trust to deliver its People First Strategy, supporting end to end employee relations.
By helping the Trust deliver on this strategy and other people plans, you will play an active and positive part in supporting improvements to NUH being the best employer, which will ultimately support our patient's experience and journey.

With demonstrable experience of working in a busy environment you will be a dynamic and committed individual looking to take the next step in your HR advisory career.
Day-to-day, you will be the first point of contact providing professional, timely advice and guidance directly to managers within Estates and Facilities to facilitate the early resolution of employee relations issues, so your previous experience will be greatly utilised.
Main duties of the job
Naturally, you will be a person who is supportive, understanding, a great listener, ability to interpret policies, and someone who wants to make a difference.
In this role it is important that you feel comfortable in all kinds of employee relations meetings, including with union representative employee support, so someone professional, confidential, and is to happy make conversation with all kinds of people is a must.
Working for our organisation
The office days are Monday to Friday, and we encourage and offer hybrid working with a mixture of office working (minimum 3 days a week) and working from home (2 days a week), this is not compulsory, and you are welcome to work in the office 5 days a week, we encourage face to face.
As the Trust is spread over different campuses, namely City and QMC, you are required to attend both at least once a week.
Due to the fast paced role, environment and support required, these two roles are full time to ensure consistency and to ensure minimum delay in supporting the Directorate, wider HR team and Trust.

This is a fast-paced role that relies on your ability to manage a case load of employment relations matters autonomously.
You will have excellent communication skills, able to multi-task, organise your time and move seamlessly from one task to another.
You will enjoy working with data, and collate and distribute this in a timely way to relevant managers.

Training & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to A level or equivalent
- Studying for or be prepared to study for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development qualification (CIPD)
Essential criteria
- Previous recent experience within a Human Resources role, including advising on terms and conditions of employment.
- Experience in supporting managers with employee relations issues including attendance, performance and conduct.
- Understanding of key employment legislation existing and prospective
- Experience of HR software package
