    My client is a global Business Consulting and Services organisation who who prides themselves on the brilliant solutions they create with their clients, the open and inclusive culture they create for their people, and the positive difference they make in our communities.

    They are looking for a Planner to join the team, ideally from a construction background, with the responsibility at tender stage for a variety of activities involved in the project planning life cycle. About the Opportunity

    Reporting to the Project Controls Lead, you will have responsibilities which include:
    • Identifying planning scope, major constraints, and contract requirements including major quantities and factors affecting the programme
    • Building the programme from first principles, ensuring that programme content is functionally compliant with the planning procedures and guidance.
    • Establishing and agreeing with Operations key methods of construction, sequencing, installation, and commissioning
    • Producing and documenting the planning deliverables including programmes, basis of schedule, presentations, and reports.
    • Developing overall programmes, issuing to all parties for review and implementing recommendations, innovation, and best practices as applicable
    • Reconciling company and sub-contract plant/labour and major materials elements in conjunction where appropriate
    • Cost and resource loading, plus resource levelling techniques as required
    • Ensuring all reporting requirements are accurately captured, implemented & managed including EVM reporting throughout the lifecycle of the project

    Here's what you'll need :
    • Experienced with Primavera P6
    • Candidates should be a Sole UK National with SC (Security Clearance) and/ or an ability to obtain SC.
    • Experience, across all stages of the project life cycle
    • Substantial experience in planning services in medium to large-sized projects within the construction industry 1m – 20m
    • Experience in managing schedules on NEC Projects
    • Good understanding of the various forms of tender documents, contract documents and specifications
    • Good understanding of the construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment, and labour requirements
    • Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering/construction related discipline
