Our client is a well-known high-end restoration contractor based in South London. They provide bespoke fibrous plastering finishes & heritage restoration services to commercial and high-end residential properties across the UK.

As Estimator, you will be responsible for quoting & preparing accurate estimates for restorative projects across London & the UK.

The successful candidate would have 1-3 years' experience in an estimating role, and ideally a background in bespoke architectural projects, high end residential/commercial fitout and/or prestigious fit-out projects.

This role presents an opportunity to work on some of the most prestigious projects/buildings in the country, and would suit a junior level candidate looking to develop and progress.

Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documentation to understand scope, materials, and labour requirements. Conduct site visits and consultations as needed to gather additional information and assess project conditions.
Utilise industry-standard estimating techniques and software to quantify project costs, including materials, labour, equipment, and overhead expenses. Analyse pricing data and vendor quotes to determine the most cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.
Prepare comprehensive and competitive proposals for prospective clients, incorporating detailed cost breakdowns, project timelines, and deliverables. Coordinate the bidding process for public and private sector projects, ensuring timely submission of accurate and compliant bids. Review bid documents and specifications, clarifying requirements and identifying potential risks or discrepancies.
Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimisation throughout the project lifecycle.

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to explore alternative materials, methods, and approaches to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.

Evaluate project risks and uncertainties, such as market fluctuations, supply chain disruptions, and regulatory changes, and incorporate risk factors into cost estimates and contingency plans.

Proficiency in construction estimating software.
