    £16-£18 per hour

    We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our client's busy machine shop.

    The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of programming and operating CNC machining centres, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings to ensure parts are machined to customer requirements.

    Working independently with minimal supervision and meeting deadlines with efficiency and accuracy are crucial skills for this role.


    Job Description:

    • Perform basic inspection of own work to ensure quality standards are met.
    • Conduct daily TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) of machines and the working area.
    • Collaborate with the designated Team Leader to ensure daily production requirements are met.
    • Maintain general housekeeping and perform daily duties within the shop to comply with health and safety standards.
    • Follow a production schedule provided by the Team Leader, striving to achieve target times on a regular basis.
    • Be willing to work reasonable overtime to fulfil production and business needs.

    Required Experience and Skills:

    • Extensive milling experience, preferably working with fabrications.
    • Proficiency in programming Fanuc, Hurco or Heidenhain
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and produce complex parts to an acceptable standard.
    • Capability to work independently and use initiative to complete tasks.
    • Strong time management skills to achieve target times and meet deadlines.
    • Positive attitude towards health and safety in the workplace.
    • Ability to work well with a team and adhere to the company's culture and values.
    • Understanding of quality and health and safety aspects in the working environment.
