Our client is a 30-person studio in London, best known as the creators of Monument Valley, Assemble With Care, Alba: a Wildlife Adventure, and most recently Desta: The Memories Between.
They are a mobile-first, multi-project studio, and their teams draw from a diverse range of experiences and creative influences to craft interactive entertainment with stand-out production values, heart and broad appeal.

You will:
- Establish, develop and maintain the game's visual style and quality in close collaboration with the Game Director.
- Set the standard for the implementation of the Art Direction inengine.
- Plan, allocate and review the work of a small team of artists.
- Mentor and linemanage a small team of artists.
- Support and contribute to the implementation of the project's visuals with other members of the team.
- Work with other disciplines to establish technical and aesthetic guidelines for the Art in the game, including overseeing and helping maintain pipelines and documentation.
- Continually look for opportunities to innovate and improve the visual quality and game play experience in collaboration with both the artists and the rest of the project team.
- Identify and raise any risks or issues as you find them to the Leadership Team.
- Use experience and expertise to collaborate with the different department teams through production.
- Represent the team externally.
Requirements:
- Experience in shipping at least one title as Lead Artist.
- Experience working on multiple games.
- Ability to work in different Art styles depending on project needs.
- Experience in estimating and scheduling work (ideally within an agile environment).
- Strong 3D and 2D Art skills.
- Proficient with Unity, Blender and Photoshop (or equivalent), with a high capacity to learn new tools.
- Extensive knowledge of current visual trends in the industry.
- Interest and knowledge of Art History.
Desirable:
- Excellent understanding of visual storytelling and pacing.
- Excellent understanding of animation.
- Excellent understanding of UI/UX.
