JOB PURPOSE
The post-holder is responsible for:
The overall day to day operation of the Ultrasound service providing a managerial and professional clinical lead in the Radiology Department.
Actively contributing to the delivery of an efficient, effective and safe service implementing and maintaining policy and service development including the procurement of equipment needed to run the service.
Communicating highly complex information relating to the radiology service to stakeholders both internal and external to the Trust
Contribute to and actively pursue delivery of the objectives of the Radiology directorate, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of services within available resources.
Work in conjunction with the Professional Lead for Imaging and General Manager, along with divisional management to plan and implement an acceptable and appropriate Radiology service in all locations.
Provide specialist knowledge for pre-purchase appraisal and selection of equipment for the service both at the centre and associated peripheral sites (total value of equipment in the region of £12 million) including contributing to equipment specifications, evaluating tender documents and national framework information.
Responsible for ongoing analysis of the Diagnostic Imaging Service
Work in conjunction with the General Manager organising, providing and developing an appropriate Ultrasound service in line with national targets, whilst being sensitive to staff expectations and financial constraints.
Responsible for completion of Healthroster, F200's and issues related to staff payment within the pay budget allocation.
