    Role OverVIOOH

    We are looking for an experienced Security Engineer to join our IT & Security team.

    This is a rare opportunity to join a rapidly growing business and help shape the future of the function, the technologies employed and the methodologies used.

    You will have a lead role in the specification, selection, design and implementation of new capabilities from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to influence key architectural decisions at early stages and to then see them through into production.

    In this role, you will spend 60% of your time working on security projects, 20% managing infrastructure, and 20% support tasks.

    VIOOH encourages you to use 10% of your time per week to invest in your growth, both personal and professional. A financial budget is also provided for any courses, books, etc that you may need.

    What you'll be working on

    Evaluating security posture and where required managing the entire lifecycle of proposed improvements from business case to production, including requirement capture, vendor selection and verification.

    Threat detection, response and mitigation.

    Data loss prevention engineering.

    Administration of key systems and infrastructure to ensure efficient and secure use of all tools

    Conducting audits and system reviews to ensure compliance with policy etc.

    Working with our security champions in operational vulnerability management activities

    Managing activities such as penetration testing, desktop security exercises etc.

    Reviewing IT security related policy and procedures, creating if needed, enhancing where necessary.]

    Continually maintaining & improving endpoint security across Mac/Windows/Linux/BYOD endpoints

    What we want from you

    You should have most of these -

    At least 5 years industry experience

    Some form of recognised security credentials e.g. Security+ or better

    In depth knowledge of key security protocols and mechanisms

    Expert level of knowledge regarding encryption

    Solid experience of AWS & AWS security

    Ability to create scripts/tools to perform duties as they relate to security

    Good knowledge of Mac/Windows/Linux OS

    Excellent oral and written communication skills

    Solid communicator & able to own and prioritise own workload

    Experience in a microservices architecture security environment

    Working knowledge of Google workspace security management

    Ability to diagnose and resolve endpoint and network faults.

    The following are nice to have, but not required -

    Experience with GCP & GCP security

    Experience with any functional programming language.

    Functional knowledge of low level well known protocols e.g TCP/SMTP

    Writing and analysing SQL queries.
