Description

Location - London, Reading, Manchester or Cardiff. Hybrid working - flexible mix of office and working from home.

Open to full and part time hours.


What would your day look like?

  • Supporting the Head of Reward with designing the policies, processes and practices relating to Reward such as the pay philosophy, incentive design and benefits
  • Developing understanding and knowledge of the Group's Reward related programmes (including pensions, recognition schemes) to ensure they continue to deliver value to colleagues and the business, using expertise to review and make suggested improvements
  • Proactive design and delivery of reward solutions to underpin the Group's recruitment, attraction and retention strategies
  • Critical role in leading the Aldermore benefits strategy, ensuring our employees are engaged and the offering is very competitive versus the external market.
  • Lead role and be a key contributor to the launch of a new all Employee Benefits platform which is expected to golive in late 202
  • Work closely with the People team to support on companywide Wellbeing initiatives and support on strategy
  • Lead role in Gender Pay and Pay Equity reporting
  • Supporting the production of reward information for the purposes of the Board/Remco and external bodies (eg: remuneration consultants; benefits advisers; HMRC)
  • Key role in assisting the Reward team on the Annual Pay Review and bonus planning cycles and using Reward knowledge to answer queries from colleagues and managers
  • Ensure through coaching and supporting others that we retain robust reward practices such as governance, annual pay processes, benchmarking and jobs management
  • Maintaining up to date Reward advice, guidance and information on our internal platforms; working with colleagues across the People function to develop awareness and knowledge across our line manager and colleague population
  • To work in accordance with the Remuneration Policies at all times to ensure robust governance practices
  • Adhoc project management activities
  • Utilising external networks, benchmarking forums etc in order enhance the Group's reward strategies whenever possible

What do we expect of you?

  • Strong numerical reasoning and Excel skills
  • Proven track record of successful delivery within a reward team / discipline
  • Experience of employee benefits offerings including Pensions
  • Excellent knowledge of how reward and benefits practices and approaches connect with the wider People agenda
  • Experience of working as part of a wider People Function
  • Demonstrable experience of the successful delivery of projects, always considering business readiness
  • Ability to challenge current practices and identify more efficient solutions
  • Credible and resilient with the ability to communicate and effectively influence at all levels
  • Strong commercial acumen and decision making skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and completerfinisher preference to support the work that is detailed in nature and needs to be consistently accurate and robust before forming the basis of critical business decisions
