    The role

    You will be responsible for managing and organising the work priorities for your watch as well as supporting the response to operational incidents to meet departmental/company objectives. You will support the Station Manager & deputise for them in their absence. In addition, you will be responsible for carrying out several line manger responsibilities for your crew, including RTW, Occupational Health referrals and other Employee Relations issues.

    Typical Duties will include :

  • Achieve, hold and maintain the Supervisor qualification and Deputise for the Station Manager in their absence.
  • Direct and manage fire station colleagues, equipment, and resources to ensure East Midlands Airport complies with the airports operating certification, Preserve life and minimise damage to property, without prejudice to the airports operating licence.
  • Formulate work plans, Identify the standard test and inspection schedule for operational equipment and vehicles and deliver Watch daily briefings to keep RFFS personnel informed.
  • What will make you successful in the role?

  • Currently employed as an operational Crew Manager at East Midlands Airport.
  • Hold a Crew Manager initial course qualification.
  • Incident Command certified.
  • Instructor qualification.
  • First Aid qualified.
  • Attend an external training provider and achieve the Supervisor qualification.
  • Hold a valid category C licence.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading in aviation and domestic incidents.
