    A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Disclosures Team based at either St Nicholas Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne or, Carleton Clinic in Cumbria as a Band 2 Records Clerk. This is a permanent full-time position (37.5 hours a week).

    Applications are invited from a suitably qualified and experienced person to join our busy Team. The post holder must have relevant Records experience, experience of working as a member of a very busy admin team, be flexible and friendly in their demeanour, hold a high standard of IT skills and knowledge and usage of RiO.

    Main duties of the job

    The post holder will provide clerical support to the Records Team by ensuring that any request for records is processed within the requested time frame.They will log requests for records on relevant systems.They will locate the requested records and record the tracking activity on the relevant information system.They will ensure the provision of records to the requester within the required time frame.The post holder will undertake the photocopying or reproduction of records.They will file information, documents and records regardless of format.The post holder may be required to deliver records across Trust premises.

    Person Specification Qualifications

    • Experience in an office environment (NHS)
    • NVQ Level 2 in administration or equivalent experience
    • RSA II or equivalent

    Knowledge

    • Knowledge of Health Records and the Mental Health Act 1983
    • Experience of working in the Mental Health environment
    • Working knowledge of the RIO information system relating to the Mental Health Act and Health Records

    Experience

    • Experience of multi agency/professional working.
    • Experience of working in the Mental Health environment

    Skills

    • Communication & Organisational skills
    • Information technology skills including e-mail, internet, spreadsheets, database.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    • Willing to learn and constantly updated knowledge base.
