I am looking for a bright spark ACA who has had a year, or a few () out of audit, in industry, who is technically strong and growth focused

I am supporting a high growth FinTech business, to find their new Financial Controller to join their already super strong finance team

This newly created role will focus on supporting the ongoing expansion of the business whilst keeping technical standards high.

Role highlights:

• Manage and maintain the UK entity balance sheet and income statement
• Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead our UK entity audits, serving as primary point of contact for auditors and delivering from planning through to signing.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to the management team.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Collaborate with global finance teams to ensure alignment and consistency in financial reporting practices
• Continuously review and enhance financial reporting processes, seeking opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Implement best practices and automation tools to optimize financial data analysis and reporting.

Ideal candidate:

• High achieving ACA with great academics
• Trained in Audit before moving into industry, strong preference for start up/scale up/fintech experience
• Process improvement skills
• Technically strong with commercial mindset #
