Do you want to make a difference to people's lives and the communities they live in? At the heart of it that's what this job is all about.

Of course, there are lots of skills and attributes that go into achieving that, but the starting point is a passion for providing homes and services that support people to thrive.

In practise that means you'll relish the opportunity to get to know our residents, often face to face, to develop a deep understanding of their challenges and how we at Housing Solutions can enhance what we deliver.

It's this engaged relationship with residents that has driven our success. But we know we could do more.

One key reason we've created the new role of Assistant Director of Housing & Resident Engagement is to drive how we listen to residents and empower them to shape the services they use.

We're an ambitious organisation, eager to embrace innovation that genuinely adds value for us and our residents who live in more than 7,500 properties across Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

This includes properties for rent, shared ownership, and homes for older people and people who need support and care to live within the community.

Our residents are diverse with a range of needs, they're also brilliant, funny and life affirming. Working with them is a privilege.

Alongside the chance to positively impact their lives, this role is a great opportunity for aspiring leaders. You'll join a high performing organisation and learn what it takes to be an executive director.

In terms of your experience, you'll combine consumer standards expertise with a track record of leading tenancy management and proactive neighbourhood services with a strong focus on resident empowerment.

Like us you'll be forward-thinking and comfortable with the constant change that comes in an organisation with a modern and agile approach.

We expect you to build strong relationships with residents and partners, play a critical role in expanding the capacity and expertise of our housing and resident empowerment teams, and ultimately help us deliver our corporate vision.

We have high expectations of ourselves too, when it comes to offering the support you need to succeed and, potentially, step up to executive level in the future.
