Cranleigh Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting exclusively on behalf of a leading Property / Real Estate business.

Due to their continued year-on-year success and ongoing expansion, they are looking to hire an experienced Health & Safety Manager.

Reportingto the Operations Director, you will be responsible for driving Health & Safety forward throughout the workforce, implementing ideas, and ensuring a safe working environment for all.

This position will require travel to 7 sites across Surrey.


Health & Safety Manager Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Review health and safety policies & procedures regularly to ensure their compliance & to make sure people are not harmed by their jobs.
  • Provide leadership in delivering safety cultural changes to promote business improvement & workforce engagement, reporting regularly at Senior Management Team meetings.
  • Create & manage safety audits and assurance schedules and develop and maintain associated tools.
  • Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental monitoring and reporting, as required by the Board.
  • Plan, implement, monitor & review protective & preventative safety measures.
  • Keep up to date with new legislation & maintain a working knowledge of all HSE's legislation & Regulatory legislation & any developments that affect the business.
  • Provide and regularly update a risk management overview.
  • Carry out investigations &/or root cause analysis & prepare timely incident reports, including lessons learned.
  • Coach and mentor managers and teams to achieve safe & compliant services and positive outcomes for our customers and other stakeholders, promoting a positive culture and supporting gaps with appropriate training.
  • Oversee and coordinate corporate agreed accreditations or schemes that enable the business to demonstrate sectorleading approaches, in relation to Health and Safety, Quality, and Sustainability.

Health & Safety Manager Experience and Qualifications required:

  • NEBOSH General (essential)
  • Demonstrable knowledge within a Property, Real Estate, or similar industry
  • NEBOSH Fire (advantageous)
  • Understanding of Risk Management
  • Full UK Driving License
