About the role and the team
Our Youth Hub service (located in the heart of London Borough of Islington) is an innovative pan-London accommodation service for young people (aged who have slept rough or are at risk of doing so.
The focus of the service is to reduce the number of young people sleeping rough across London, as well as to quickly move young people into appropriate longer-term accommodation.
As Progression Coach, you will manage a caseload of young people, addressing their physical, emotional, social and behavioural needs; supporting them to progress towards independence.
You will also hold shared responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service.
About you:
You will have excellent communication skills and be committed to the values and ethos of Depaul UK.
- Experience of working with the client group
- An understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance use
- A knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments and Support Planning.
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
- Able to demonstrate clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures
