    WHAT AWAITS YOU?


    • As the Control Technician you will modify the controls of the assembly systems in a controlled manner to enhance and sustain production activities and provide technical support for all manufacturing operations.

    • You will support current manufacturing systems and tools to ensure that they are in line with BMW standards and operate effectively and efficiently.

    • You will maintain and distribute technical data and oversee the implementation of BMW standards within the manufacturing areas, all devices and applications to comply with the relevant standards.

    • Upgrading and supporting current manufacturing systems and tools is integral to this role to ensure that they are in line with BMW standards and operate effectively and efficiently.

    • Communication is key to this role as you will need to negotiate and influence maintenance colleagues during facility failures to ensure processes achieve required targets.

    • You will need to form strong relationships to internal and external partners to gather information about innovations and improvements.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE.


    • Qualified to NVQ Level 5 or equivalent (e.g. degree, Membership of Professional Institution) or excellent technology experience.

    • Knowledge of electrical / electronic systems (advanced experience in electrical engineering with the ability to design / diagnose and install complex systems) is beneficial.

    • Experience with control systems, PLCs field Bus, Robot, safety and drive / vision / measurement systems.

    • Experience with electro mechanical and pneumatic / hydraulic systems is advantageous.

    • An understanding of software engineering (i.e Visual Basic, C, C#, C++, SQL, Java).
