DWC Procurement £35k - 45k per year Redditch, Worcestershire, England Permanent Hybrid Working SF Recruitment are working with a leading manufacturing business, based in the Redditch area to recruit a Buyer.

We are looking for a Buyer with an strong technical skillset, direct purchasing (components/materials) & the ability to work with engineering drawings as part of the procurement process.

This is an "end to end" purchasing role with both operational & strategic responsibility within assigned commodities. Competitive package including bonus scheme and other great benefits. Primary Responsibilities Support the development and implementation of overall Strategic Procurement for the assigned commodity. Manage tactical procurement activities with daily routines and deadlines installed and adhered to.

To become an authority in the use of Integrated MRP within optimising systems functionality and performance via systems driven management reporting.

Manage departmental KPIs and improvement targets. Manage supplier development planning with key supplier groups. Manage ongoing cost down program(s) and initiatives. Negotiate supply contracts. Consult with Team Management on regular basis on complex supplier issues or policy decisions. Promote and deliver continuous improvement initiatives in conjunction with colleagues. Monitors suppler quality, initiating containment activity and agreeing sustainable corrective action with suppliers. Evaluate supplier performance on regular basis, putting development plans in place and validate/approve all major price increases. Research and evaluate global market commodity prices to ensure cost effective compliance and accurate benchmarking. Provide monthly report to senior management. Skillset Requirements Demonstrable procurement experience within a manufacturing environment. Proven ability take cost out of supply chains. Able to evaluate & provide analysis to identify & select new suppliers, based on business objectives.
