Oundle Ref: 468/82 HSB Technical are currently looking for a Material Planner for one of our clients based in Oundle, Peterborough.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a luxury Super Yacht Company. The key of the role is to interface with the production, Design, Technical support, Sales, Financed and Engineering.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time materials to for the production line as required, the avoid any disruption to production.

Main Responsibilities;

To ensure the supply of materials meets the production schedule
Manage and understand, the risk to the material supply plan to minimise the impact on the production schedule.
Lead the implementation of modifications with the supply base to obsolete stock and ensure materials are readily available
Liaison with the team to ensure all inventory is recorded accuracy
Develop and maintain supply relationships, to help help cost down.
Use any MRP or IT system that is place, ensure that all the data is accurate and up to data, resolve any issues
Deliver regular statistical reports, and be able to analysis
Financial awareness, and a full understanding of hoe failure impacts the costs, production, and fulfilment
Implement processes to agreed standards and targets, identify areas that need improvement.
Recovery any cost as required, due to the result of supplier liability
Support finance teams to achieve option maintenance for all boats
On issue of new prices lists, update and check and maintain all option BOM's within the company ERP system
Be integral in the management of new product obsolescence management of materials as required via ECN, P&C and SCN process Skills & Attributes;
Assertive, optimistic, and welcomes change

Strong analytical, planning and problem solving skills
Excellent attention to detail Must have;
Previous experience of material planning, ideally in a manufacturing background
Strong knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft excel, MRP (Material requirements planning) systems of similar
Confident in the supply chain process
