MJ Wilson Group have a fantastic opportunity for a new apprentice to join our team, to learn the smooth running of our warehouse/stores.

You will be fully trained and supported, to learn all functions of the business, including the opportunity for forklift training.

You'll benefit from a structured training and development plan.

Working week
Monday to Friday, with a 1 hour lunch break.

Total hours per week: 40

What will the apprentice be doing?

As our new apprentice, you will learn about the wide variety of items we stock, covering the engineering, process and industrial sectors.

With training and support, you will gain specialist knowledge, allowing you to support the smooth running of our warehouse/stores.

You will also have the opportunity to support our administration team, supporting all functions of the business and learning our processes and procedures.

You will be fully trained and supported to learn about MJ Wilson Group, which will allow you to progress within the organisation.

You will be primarily based within our stores area, with duties including:

Warehouse and stores:

Picking goods, assembling orders and packing
Working on the trade counter and serving customers
Booking goods in and out, and updating our stock systems
Dispatching orders and arranging couriers
Stocktaking
Housekeeping
Loading and unloading vehicles
Manual handling, lifting and carrying
Training to drive a forklift
Using machinery to cut studbolts (Training provided within our production facility)
All other associated duties as required

Support for the Administration team:

Processing orders and generating relevant documentation
Liaising with suppliers, and chasing delivery updates
Scanning and storing proof of deliveries
Filing purchase orders and acknowledgements
Preparing test certification and associated documentation for the production facility
All aspects of general administration

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard - Supply Chain Warehouse Operative. A bespoke programme of practical, technical and vocational learning. Functional Skills in maths and English at level 2 (if applicable). Blended on/off the job training and location to be confirmed.
