    Strainstall UK is now trading as BES Group Asset Reliability.

    In our new home as part of BES Group, which is the leading end to end solution provider in the Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance sector.

    Within the group, the BES Asset Reliability Division is an industry leading provider of specialist condition based monitoring services and products.

    This includes our highly skilled team of structural monitoring engineers and technicians who operate throughout the UK and overseas providing expert instrumentation monitoring across a wide range of road, rail, bridge and building structures.


    To be considered for this role you will live in North West England and be willing to travel around the UK, overseas and offshore when required.

    We have office locations in Bristol and Warrington.

    What will I be doing?


    As our Asset Reliability Division continues to expand in the UK, there is the requirement to grow the Project Delivery Team within the business to support both existing and new contracts.

    In order to support this growth an opportunity exists for a Project Manager to join the organisation. This role would entail the planning, management and successful delivery of multiple projects.

    Some of your responsibilities will include:
    Ensure that assigned projects are delivered in a safe manner, to schedule, within budget and in accordance with customer requirements, as defined in the Contract

    Ensure that projects are executed in accordance with agreed contractual terms and conditions

    Work with HSEQ Department to ensure compliance with all Safety, Quality and Environmental and policies, processes and procedures

    Accurately communicate project programme and commercial status and performance (weekly & monthly reporting) to internal and external stakeholders

    Identify, actively manage commercial and technical risks and opportunities

    Manage project constraints / conflicts (e.g., resource, schedule demands)

    Assign and manage tasks to vendors, engineering, production and support functions

    Manage and coordinate effective communication between key stakeholders for the purpose of resolving technical, commercial or procurement issues

    Provide quantified feedback to Business Development and Sales teams on project performance, to inform future tenders and proposals

    What experience do I need?


    Our team consists of the best, highly skilled and qualified Engineers and we want our new recruits to have the same attitude, aptitude and appetite for what we do.

    Ideally, a Degree or a Level 4 engineering qualification, or relevant subject such as Geology

    A good level of practical engineering experience (mechanical, electrical or civil)

    Experience of managing complex, high value or high-risk projects, preferably within the UK construction industry is highly desirable

    Experience in installing structural monitoring systems (wired or wireless) and sensors is highly desirable

    Be flexible and available to travel to site in UK and overseas from time to time, in support of project activities

    A good level of IT and literacy skills
