Protocol Education are recruiting a
Teaching Assistant to support students throught the school.

The role will be focused on the support of students with varying needs, along with supporting those students who may have gaps in learning.

The school strives to give all students access to the best possible education regardless of perceived barriers.


The applicant would be required to
support students in lessons access learning, run one to one and small group interventions and support the wider SEND and teaching team.

Previous experience working with children with SEND is desired but not a necessity.
Training will be provided, so a committed individual with a calm and reliable attitude is most important

Job Overview:

  • Work as part of the wider SEND team. Focusing on providing best level of care and learning for the SEND Students.
  • Work alongside school staff to identify students who need extra support and creating plans to assist in learning.
  • Support students in class, helping them to access learning
  • Monitor pupils progress through individual lessons, reporting back to SENCO and Class teacher
  • Support class teacher with general running of the lesson when required to do so
  • Run smaller one to one and group interventions

  • Experience of working with students with SEN, if possible
  • Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing needs of the school/learners day
  • Strong team player

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
