About the Opportunity


The Head of Acquiring Telephony Sales is a senior Sales management role, where you will be responsible for leading, managing and developing the Acquiring telephony sales teams.

Operating within the SME market to outstanding levels of performance. You willensure provision of first class Customer Service and solutions to customers whilst achieving challenging sales goals and objectives. Defining & creating new strategies within the segment, aligned to the SME and Sales team strategy/


Responsibilities

  • Providing clear direction and leadership to the Inbound and Outbound Acquiring Telephony sales teams within SME Sales business area
  • Managing performance of direct line reports and indirectly through a layered leadership structure, all Telephony Sales team members
  • Working independently and with the Head of Telephony for SME sales to determine, develop and implement business and commercial strategies to grow market share
  • Defining and implementing strategy to create efficiencies and performance enhancements
  • Providing insight to help shape key business policies to ensure we drive customer advocacy whilst delivering P&L growth and maximise business opportunities
  • Overseeing the recruitment of new and existing business, exchanging legal contracts with companies within the SME segment typically in the region of £50k to £6.5m card turnover
  • Being responsible for working with commercial teams to define, implement and execute a robust strategy to deliver against the overall SME plan.
  • Understanding and overseeing the appropriate Policies & Standards applicable to the role. Where responsible for risks and controls ensure that these are appropriate
What we're looking for

  • Experience in Sales Leadership within an outbound telephony environment
  • Knowledge of telephony based sales strategies and dialler systems
  • Experience in people management including coaching and development
  • Understanding of working within an Income based operating model
Skills that will help you in the role

  • Good communication skills and the ability to be innovative
  • Experience of managing key senior stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the UK SME business sector
  • An up to date knowledge of Industry related technical development
