    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Post title: Preventative Education Project Worker

    Salary: £20,500 per annum

    Hours: 30 hours per week

    Location: Remote Various Locations / Office based Leicester City

    Reports to CEO

    This is a 12-month fixed term post until 31st April 2025

    Aim and job outline.

    To work in partnership with a wide range of organisations to deliver a programme of workshops for young people aged 13-18 years old which aim to raise the awareness and understanding of sexual harassment and its impact on those affected.

    1. Main Duties
    2. · To review the current young people's workshop materials and produce a new range of workshop materials aimed at increasing young people's knowledge and understanding of sexual harassment.
    3. · To work in partnership with schools, youth groups and sports organisations to deliver a programme of workshops aimed at increasing young people's understanding of sexual harassment.
    4. · To produce project publicity materials and coordinate delivery of the project.
    5. · To work with the CEO to monitor and evaluate the projects to ensure that all sessions are monitored, and information collated to show the range of users.
    6. · To work in partnership with CEO to develop the project for the benefit of the Charity including business development and sustainability ensuring the widening reach of the project to future users.
    7. · To manage the ongoing development of licensing the training to build up our offer of training packages for professionals within the wider sector.

    Publicity of service

    · To produce and distribute relevant information and marketing materials to advertise services.

    · To ensure that all relevant professionals are aware of the service.

    · To work closely with professionals in health and education, social services, and youth services to ensure their awareness of the service.

    · To regularly contribute to and maintain the website.

    Monitoring & Evaluation

    · To collaborate and maintain close working relationships with others working within the service, aiming to maximise motivation and gain opportunities for ideas to improve the service.

    · To work closely with users, carers, and professionals to develop and evaluate the service.

    · To participate in audit and research that allows evaluation and development of the service.

    · To maintain records using an agreed format.

    · To update database entries and provide monthly statistics for the CEO.

    · To produce Quarterly and Yearly reports and delegate these within the team

    · Gather case studies, testimonials, quotes, videos, and photos graphs to evidence the service.

    Training & development

    · To participate in relevant training to maintain and update specialist knowledge and competence.

    Other

    · To attend formal and informal supervision with the CEO

    · To attend monthly team meetings and any other meetings relevant to the post.

    · To assist in covering the roles of other team members who may be off sick or on annual leave

    · To supervise the young volunteers.

    This post is subject to enhanced DBS checks.

    The job description will be subject to revision considering the development of the service, following discussion with the post-holder. The effectiveness of the role will be reviewed on a regular basis in conjunction with the CEO.

    Person Specification

    Education / Qualifications

    · Educated to Degree Level in Youth Work/Teaching/Community development or any other relevant field.

    Previous Experience

    · At least two years' experience of working with young people in a range of settings.

    · Experience of multi-agency working.

    · Experience of facilitating group work.

    · Experience of working sensitively with confidential material.

    · Experience of delivery training or holds a training qualification such as award in education and training.

    An awareness of safeguarding issues

    Skills, Knowledge, and abilities

    · Experience of developing and delivering engaging presentations to young people

    · An awareness of local services for young survivors including CAMHS, youth services and MAT teams

    · Excellent IT/computer literacy: Internet, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

    · Ability use evaluation procedures for the service

    users

    · Knowledge of sexual violence issues affecting young people (aged 13 – 18)

    Attitude, aptitude, personal characteristics

    · Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    · Excellent organisational skills.

    · Able to work well as a member of a team

    · Ability to use initiative and to prioritise own workload

    · Experience of electronic record keeping and data base use

    · Aptitude for discretion when dealing with

    confidential information and data

    · Driving licence & own transport
