    Description

    Reed Property and Construction - SHEQ Advisor

    Reed Property and Construction are working with a leading service provider in Bristol recruiting for a SHEQ Advisor. In this role, you will provide professional advice and support on all health, safety, and environmental matters to all levels of employees within the business to meet legal responsibilities and to promote best practice. You will also monitor compliance in line with the Business Management System.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Responsible and accountable for collating and implementing risk assessments, always ensuring compliance.
    2. Ensure that Integrated Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality Management Systems are implemented, kept, and improved in accordance with the requirements of ISO standards.
    3. Work with Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality/Operations in developing and maintaining the company waste management policy, SHEQ policies and procedures, and taking prompt action as required.
    4. Provide practical Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality support and advice.
    5. Drive and improve employee engagement and the safety culture within the organization, ensuring that employees are operating in a safe environment and complying with appropriate regulations and best practice guidelines.
    6. Promote best practice and a pro-active approach.
    7. Ensure performance measures are in place and actions are taken to achieve the best level of good practice.
    8. Ensure training is provided for all levels of employees in relation to Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality.
    9. Ensure regular audits are conducted - while initiating preventative and corrective measures to comply with relevant areas of responsibilities.

    Successful candidates for the role will have a NEBOSH General certificate, be up to date with health, safety, and environmental legal requirements, and possess some knowledge of the waste management industry and/or Facilities Management.
