Description

Who We Are

SupaJam is a music focused post-16 Specialist Provider, supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged year olds across our three bases in Swanley, Canterbury and Brighton.

The majority of our students have a variety of social, emotional or special educational needs, or have previously disengaged from mainstream education.

Our ethos is to be forward thinking, caring and encouraging whilst providing a structured, supportive and non-judgmental environment.

Working at SupaJam is unlike any other role in an education setting.

Our young people have all struggled in life, largely through no fault of their own, and most have battled with often undiagnosed special educational needs.

To be part of a company that challenges the status quo, goes the extra mile for all our young people whilst immersed in the music industry is often challenging, but always rewarding
.

The Role

Answering to the Director of SEND, the SEND and EHCP Coordinator will be a key member of the team by helping to develop SupaJam's SEND policy and practices, including directly training our frontline teaching and support staff in SEND requirements and best practice.

You'll also manage the day-to-day administration and implementation of SupaJam's SEND duties in line with statutory timescales and other legislative requirements under the SEND Code of Practice.

This role is ideal for individuals who have previously worked for Local Authority SEND teams or in similar EHCP Co-Ordinator/Administrator positions in post-16 provision with experience of legislative requirements and related systems and processes.

Like everyone at SupaJam you should have a great sense of humour, endless patience, boundless energy and enthusiasm and the ability to engage with young people on their level.

Plus, a strong desire to work with disadvantaged young people with special educational needs.

SupaJam is committed to diversity and inclusion, and we believe this helps us to be a more relevant and effective organisation.
