As a Laboratory Technician within our Genetic Toxicology team based in Alconbury, Cambridgeshire you will play an integral part in achieving our mission by providing laboratory based technical and operational support to colleagues working on studies.
Whilst training you will learn a broad range of standard technical laboratory skills and techniques including how to work to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
Meeting deadlines by effectively planning and completing routine and assigned tasks in a timely mannerEnsuring quality through accurate data recording and performing QC checks following appropriate training
Reporting any difficulty, uncertainty or unexpected finding to the Study Director and/or senior Genetic Toxicology personnel
Learn a broad range of standard technical laboratory skills and techniques
Conduct regular stock takes in relevant laboratory areas and order appropriate lab products
Studies that may be performed include, but not limited to: - Ames test, In vitro/In vivo micronucleus test, Chromosome aberration assay, Mouse Lymphoma assay, COMET assay, microbiology and in vitro safety assessment study types
Minimum GCSE's or equivalent including Maths, English and Science
Previous laboratory support experience is desirable with knowledge of aseptic techniques and GLP advantageous
