    A strong track record of ability to deliver significant change at pace whilst maintaining an inclusive and facilitative approach is a must. Coaching skills are essential for this role, along with political astuteness and experience of leading change and inclusive leadership development.

    This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work from home and from any of our ICB bases, there is a regular need for travel across West Yorkshire.

    Main duties of the job

    As System and Leadership Development Lead at NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board, youll join a small, supportive and creative System and Leadership Development team committed to enabling the achievement of our exciting West Yorkshire Health and Care partnership ambitions. Youll be able to bring your expertise and experience in designing and delivering organisational and leadership development interventions working both within the ICB and across the wider health and care system.

    For the immediate term, the post holder will lead on a component of our Fellowship for diverse leadership programme; working in collaboration with other team members. The post holder will also lead a component of our ICB OD programme which is a key priority to ensure the successful implementation of our new operating model.

    Job responsibilities

    The System and Leadership Development lead has a key role in acting as a consultant and advisor to defined partners, providing professional expertise and advice of all aspects of system development across the full breadth of the OD consultancy cycle from analysing and understanding need, diagnosis, intervention and review and evaluation.

    The System and Leadership Development Lead will also lead on a defined subject matter and/or programmes across West Yorkshire as required, that contribute to the WY Health and Care Partnership strategy and People Plan.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities of the role include:

    Develop and maintain highly effective relationships with partners and stakeholders providing constructive challenge, influencing and supporting to effective decision making to deliver transformation and culture change.

    Develop and maintain an understanding of the priorities and needs of partners and stakeholders to be able to identify where system development can enable the achievement of vision and ambitions

    Lead contracting discussions with partners and stakeholders to enable understanding of the current state, desired future state and to understand and manage expectations of the work to be done

    Lead and facilitate diagnostics of current state through developing approaches for gathering, analysing, interpreting and presenting quantitative and qualitative data and information.

    Lead the development of the system development plan for a defined partner ensuring that it is appropriate in meeting the vision, ambitions and joint forward plan of WY partnership; enabling transformational and culture change, identifying risks, interdependencies, impact and connection with wider partnership, and resource requirements; building in contingency and adjustments where necessary

    Lead the exploration, design and delivery of capability and leadership development offers and programmes with key stakeholders from across the partnership.
