    Description

    Structural Engineer required to join a consultancy in Chorley. The main goal of this role is to ensure the application of best Structural Engineering design practices within the office. This opportunity is ideal for a recent Structural Engineer with a solid background in the Consultancy sector and a minimum of 3 years' experience in residential and commercial buildings.

    Structural Engineer Position Overview

    • Provide mentorship to junior team members
    • Work on multiple projects and clients simultaneously
    • Support Principal engineers and Directors within the group
    • Focus on delivering quality results and ensuring client satisfaction
    • Adhere to industry-recognized processes and procedures
    • Apply foundational knowledge of structural engineering design and principles
    • Engage in innovative and sustainable engineering projects in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors
    • Utilize AutoCAD, Masterseries, TEDDS, STAAD.Pro, SCIA, and Revit
    • Conduct report writing and site visits

    Structural Engineer Position Requirements

    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Structural design (steelwork, reinforced concrete, and masonry) to Euro Code standard
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Masterseries, and TEDDS design software
    • Familiarity with STAAD.Pro, SCIA, and Revit
    • Ability to produce detailed structural calculations and sketches
    • Preparation of construction drawings and specifications
    • Understanding of costing, budgets, and quotations
    • Experience in report writing and site visits for construction verification
    • Openness to working towards or being near Chartered Status
