Our client has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced
Credit Controller to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent on permanent basis.


About the role:


  • Timely collection of monies due
  • Timely resolution of customer queries & escalation of any issues to the appropriate department
  • Produce management reporting on debtor's ledger including aged debt, potential bad debt
  • Support the development of new ERP
  • Continuous interaction & cooperation with all other departments
  • Action debt recovery with professionalism & in accordance with best practice
  • Basic accounting duties such as expense accounting, journal posting
  • Uphold all company policies
  • Allocate receipts from credit cards, bank deposits, cash

Experience & skills:


  • Relevant credit control experience
  • Basic accounting experience essential
  • Formal qualifications not essential but advantageous
  • IT literate with preferred experience in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
  • Demonstrable excellent planning & organisational skills
  • Ability to use initiative to resolve issues
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team
  • Proven success in a fastpaced and demanding environment
  • Ability to build, develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external customers

Pay & Benefits:


  • Fulltime, Permanent
  • Part time may be considered
  • Flexible working hours may be considered
  • Salary: £22,000£24,000.00 per annum
  • Hours of work: 9am5.30pm, Mon-Fri
  • Support with relevant training to the role
