About the job

We want to ensure our customers are able to make the most of our products and solutions and can maximise their efficiencies as a result.

As a key member of the Service and Operations Team, the Customer Trainer is responsible for the training and on-boarding of new business customers in respect of AddSecure Smart Transport's Telematics and related systems and solutions.


In addition, they will be required to deliver advanced and outcome-based sessions to existing customers to help drive system/solution adoption to facilitate customer engagement, enable improved customer retention and promote upsell potential.


Main functions of this role include; the delivery of training sessions, documenting tasks in Salesforce CRM and producing training content to enable customers to self-learn the platform.

Other duties include developing close working relationships with the in-house Sales, Development and Support teams.


The Customer Trainer will be involved in team initiatives to improve the customer training experience as well as help Customer Support teams with system/solution related queries.

They will also be expected to drive standardisation of and enable continuous improvement of our approach to training delivery.


This position requires the ability to explain technical complexities of our systems and solutions effectively and to a broad audience.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Requirements will vary in complexity and require strong reasoning and interpretation skills.

The Customer Trainer will have a high degree of autonomy and will be responsible for driving continuous improvement in training delivery.


  • Providing system/solution training and onboarding for new and migrated business customers.
  • Providing advanced and outcomebased training for existing customers.
  • Preparing and scheduling virtual training sessions.
  • Structuring presentations to fit the customer's needs and circumstances.
  • Followingup with larger customers to validate implementation experience and completion.
  • Creating and producing user guides and web training modules.
  • Serving as a Subject Matter Expert on Verilocation and legacy product platforms.
  • Working closely with Sales, Support and other functional areas to ensure customer training needs are met.
  • Supporting initiatives to improve training delivery and develop local operating processes.
  • Performing miscellaneous jobrelated duties as required.

About you

In addition, you will have:

  • Experience in Customer Training, Customer Service or relevant customer facing experience.
  • Experience in Software training.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with senior management.
  • Strong planning and organisation skills.
  • Ability to adapt training to suit customer needs, lead initiatives and drive process improvements.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, act independently and exercise good judgment.
  • Ability to creatively use resources and adjust to changes in a fastpaced environment.


  • Strong presentation Skills

  • The set of techniques and skills required to successfully present training processes (internally) and system and solution features (externally).
  • Good Time Management Skills
  • The development and adoption of processes and tools that increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM systems e.g. Salesforce and ideally video recording tools (e.g. Camtasia, Audacity)
