New to Nature is an exciting programme of paid work placements in nature-focused roles.

This is one of 70 roles that will be created across the UK to encourage young and diverse talent into the Natural Environment sector.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us.

Working both in an office and outdoors, you will gain lots of valuable skills and experiences to help you in your future career.

Alongside this, you will lead a variety of initiatives to improve people's access to nature. We want to reach communities inside and outside the Cotswolds and encourage them to feel welcome in the countryside.

This will include working with our charity partner, the Cotswold Way Association, and helping to deliver education sessions and community outreach events with our education team.

We're keen for you to experience conservation work first-hand, so you will work seasonally with the Glorious Cotswolds Grasslands (GCG) team; our flagship conservation programme.

GCG creates and restores flower-rich grassland; an important landscape feature of the Cotswolds.

You'll also work with our Everyone's Evenlode team - helping to deliver education sessions and community outreach events that connect communities to their local river.

In fact, over the course of a year you'll probably interact with everyone in our team This is because we want you to gain lots of valuable skills and experiences to help you in your future career.

As part of the placement, we are including a 'next steps' element that will be led by you.

This will be focused in the last six months and include dedicated time to research and pursue future career paths.

This could include meetings with our key stakeholders, other members of the protected landscape family and funders
