    An exciting opportunity has arisen in Theatres to recruit Band 5 ODP/Anaesthetic Nurse (Theatre Practitioner) to join our fantastic Paediatric theatre team.

    You will be a highly motivated, innovative, and progressive individual committed to the development of yourself, your team, and our changing services.


    You will be joining a pro-active, dynamic team of nurses and ODP's who offer the best standards of perioperative care.

    Please note, that due to ongoing service developments the post holder may be required cross site at our other Theatre Complex with the agreement of the Speciality Team Leader.

    Expectations to deliver a high standard of service with patient safety and quality are a priority.

    We practice multi-skilling and are looking to recruit a dynamic Practitioner who wishes to develop their practice in either anaesthetic and/or surgical scrub support.

    You will have a flexible attitude to work and be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

    All persons appointed to the post are required to hold registration with their appropriate professional regulatory body and to comply with their professional code of conduct.

    You are also required to have a recognised anaesthetic qualification.


    NUH offers fantastic support to a diverse range of students and learners and therefore the successful applicant should either hold or be willing to work towards a level three mentorship qualification.

    5hr flexibly between Monday to Sunday. There is a commitment to Bank Holiday and out of hours on-call cover.
    To deliver high quality holistic care to patients

    Demonstrate Computer literacy & use of IT skills - e.g. e-mail, Excel, PowerPoint and Word

    Demonstrate an understanding of the Theatre/Recovery role

    Demonstrate an involvement in link nurse, or project work

    Current level one NMC registration or HCPC registration

    Continuing professional development/ reflective profile
