MTrec's New Opportunity;
The Job You'll do:
- Carry out planned and reactive work to the plant, vehicles, equipment, infrastructure, and buildings.
- Diagnose and repair faults on mechanical installations, plant, vehicles, engineering systems, and equipment in accordance with current regulations and guidance.
- To record works carried out, to include updating the computerised maintenance management system as required.
- Responsible for keeping the workshop safe and tidy
- To carry out the appropriate statutory testing on plant and equipment.
- Subject to approval plan and manage the working day based upon the job cards issued.
- To liaise with and provide technical support to contractors as required
- To compile lists for the ordering of installation materials and spare parts
- Instruct others when required on aspects of own work. Provide advice, instruction and training to Apprentices.
- To ensure full compliance with the requirements of the Quality Management System and Service level Agreements together with a high standard of customer care.
- Carry mobile phone and participate in the Standby/callout rota for maintenance services.
- Supervise specific tasks as required
- Identify and source parts as required, check availability of spares and prepare documentation for authorisation
- Monitor and complete stores requisitions
- Prepare/allocate shift rota's
- Carry and respond to company mobile phone on a rota basis
About You;
- You must hold a recognised Apprenticeship
- It is essential that you hold a City and Guilds Part 1 and 2 qualification or equivalent
- Possession of a BTEC or HNC in a relevant discipline would be advantageous
- You can diagnose and remedy mechanical faults to specification
- Possess the ability to install new systems to specification
- Post apprenticeship experience in mechanical maintenance and installation
- You must have knowledge of maintaining fixed and mobile plant equipment
- Can read technical drawings
- You are willing to occasionally work on call and work overtime when required
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Are comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Selfmotivated and able to use your initiative
- Hold a full UK Driving License
