    Job summary

    The Professional Practice Education and Training Team (PPETT) offers a comprehensive service by supporting learners through local induction/probationary period through to the implementation of strategies to improve training, education and development.

    The post holder will be working within an integrated nursing and AHP team which has the responsibility for Non-registered Staff Development, Care Certificate induction, Pre and Post-registration training /development, student placements, Apprenticeship Pathways, International recruitment, Preceptorship and Clinical Training.

    Main duties of the job

    The post holder will be working within the Professional Practice, Education and Training team to support the learning process of pre and post registration students, trust nurse supervisors, assessors, preceptees and other learner groups as required.

    The role requires working across the county building strong relationships with managers, clinical teams and supporting academics to ensure the trust offer a quality and equitable experience to all learner groups. The post holder will provide best practice advice to support the development of AHP learners/ apprenticeships and meet Health & Care Professional Council (HCPC) regulatory Standards of Education and Training

    Education

    Essential

  • Educated to graduate diploma level or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Active registration required as an Allied Health registrant with contemporary knowledge and experience
  • Desirable

  • Experience of engaging and communicating effectively with students, professionals, and academics across internal and external organisational boundaries
  • Possess an understanding of Standards of Education and Training (HCPC, 2017).
  • Experience

    Essential

  • Current experience and knowledge of actively working with students, educators, supervisors and assessors within the learning environment
  • Knowledge and experience of delivering training, learning interventions, and supporting others to develop
  • Desirable

  • Ability to capture, maintain and evaluate data using excel and other Microsoft office platforms
  • Able to offer appropriate advice to provide a fair, equitable and quality learning experience for students, and address any issues that may be raised in a timely manner.
