    Description

    It's an exciting time to join our Procurement team here at AXA UK with significant investment planned in all UK businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers, and streamline and automate our business processes. To help us build our change capability, accelerate the delivery of our strategic programmes and drive the adoption of unified Agile ways of working and more effective change delivery across UK&I we're looking for an experienced IT Procurement Manager to join the growing team on a 12 month fixed term basis.

    You'll be responsible for managing and implementing the UK Procurement strategy to the agreed scope. You'll use the Category Management Processes and in accordance with the appropriate RACI defined with the team, generating increased efficiency, compliance with FCA/PRA requirements, reduced cost and adherence to best practice.

You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.     What you'll be doing:

  • Work with internal stakeholders to gather, assess and challenge business requirements on both BAU and project activities.
  • Coordinate delivery of the process/initiative, leading to establishment of best in class, policy, process, or service.
  • You'll have a broad experience of IT Procurement categories but with a strong focus on software applications, SaaS, PIaas, Cloud Hosting: IT Services; Business Transformation led by technology and SI Partners.
  • You'll negotiate and agree the best commercial framework to achieve the right balance of service vs risk vs cost for the business.
  • You may need to support the broader range of categories managed by the procurement team in times of high demand and/or absence.
  • Build the Category Strategy when it is not supported by a Global Category Manager and deliver this solution.
  • Challenge stakeholders in a manner appropriate to preserve relationships while achieving the right overall commercial result.
  • Manage delivery of UK & I Procurement process, policy and procedures ( RFP, RFI, etc.) in accordance with local and Group requirements.
  • Utilise Procurement tools and best practice to increase efficiency and the quality of delivery contributing to Procurement savings and KPI objectives.

    What we're looking for:

  • Proven Procurement experience in a similar role with significant experience in a manager role.
  • CIPS Professional Procurement qualification.
  • Educated up to A level, Degree preferred.
  • As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
