Description
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role is responsible for supervising the Goods In team on a day-to-day basis.

Working closely alongside the wider warehouse team and driver network, you will ensure that returning equipment is scanned and triaged in line with quality and operational standards.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising the team on a daytoday basis to delegate tasks and solve operational and quality issues
  • Following and promoting health and safety procedures to ensure the welfare of yourself and those around you
  • Assisting drivers and external hauliers to unload vehicles.
  • Scanning and logging incoming deliveries to maintain stock accuracy
  • Reviewing incoming deliveries for damages and updating warehouse management system
  • Ensuring the safe and effective use of warehouse storage space and racking.
  • Assisting Warehouse Manager to introduce and update Standard Operating Procedures
  • Highlighting and implementing areas of continuous improvement to improve operational efficiency
  • Supporting the wider warehouse team when required

  • Working level of English must be able to understand and communicate health and safety standards to team
  • Computer literacy
  • Physicality for manual handling. This role involves bending, stretching and twisting for long periods of time.
  • Counterbalance Forklift Qualification

Desirable

  • Demonstratable experience of supervising or motivating team members towards common goal
  • Proven experience of assisting with or leading the implementation of organisational efficiencies and operations
  • Prior experience with Warehouse Management Systems

Job Types:
Full-time, Temp to perm

£12.00 per hour
