We are currently looking for a
Scrum Master to guide and coach one or more of our Scrum Teams on how to use Scaled Lean Agile practices and principles, to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.


This role is hybrid based at our Manchester city centre office.

But there's more to this than just the 'day job'.

What will you be doing in this role?


As a Scrum Master at Tunstall, you will be leading one or more cross functional teams in self-organisation, commitment making and quality delivery, as part of a wider Scaled Agile Release Train, facilitating and supporting all key ceremonies.

You will help to remove impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.


In addition, you will drive and assist teams in meeting their delivery goals, sharing the responsibility for the overall performance, reporting on key team metrics, measuring, and improving velocity and flow.


You will have proven experience as a Scrum Master for Software Delivery, leading one or more Scrum Teams as part of a Scaled Agile Release Train or equivalent.

You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, able to facilitate, negotiate, and coach colleagues effectively.


You will also be an expert on Lean and Agile frameworks and methods (ie SAFe, Scrum, Kanban), adept at refinement, story slicing, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other delivery techniques.

Key skills and experience:


  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master for Software Delivery, leading one or more Scrum Teams as part of a Scaled Agile Release Train or equivalent,
  • Outstanding facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills,
  • Expertise of Lean and Agile frameworks and methods (i.e. SAFe, Scrum, Kanban),
  • Adept at refinement, story slicing, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other delivery techniques,
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,
  • Able to clearly articulate performance expectations, providing feedback and challenge during sprints,
  • Experience of facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organisation and an understanding of facilitation techniques,
  • A deep understanding of modern Software Engineering technologies and techniques, including builtin quality, micro service architecture, cloud platforms, integration/APIs, DevOps culture, automated deployment, and infrastructure as code,
  • Proven experience of Agile coaching and mentoring and helping to build highperforming teams,
  • Demonstrable experience of building effective working relationships at all levels,
  • Ability and proven experience of working collaboratively with crossfunctional teams, stakeholders, and leadership.

Desirable skills:


  • SAFe experience / SAFe Scrum Master certification,
  • Agile Scrum Master certification,
  • Indepth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices and how to bridge the gap between that and Scaled Agile,
  • Experience of working with global teams,
  • Experience of transforming legacy platforms into cloudbased solutions using modern techniques including micro services and integration/APIs.
