We will consider our Leeds office with some weekly travel to Manchester included.What you'll be doing: Support in leading and managing the professional indemnity teamManage, reinforce and develop internal organisational referrer relationships, corporate client and business partner relationships for growth of the professional indemnity team and wider businessInput into strategy and direction at senior levelProvide both contentious and non-contentious legal advice representing businesses and individuals in an insured and uninsured capacitySupervise and mentor other lawyers within the teamCarry out general management including; governance, compliance, supplier and contract managementHave budget, financial and profitability control including managing own caseload delivering appropriate personal billing and financial KPI'sSupport the Markel Law advice line and hub services management in relation to content and quality of professional indemnity mattersProvide overall team strategic direction, development and marketing (including website, literature, communications and PR)Our must haves:Have significant professional indemnity law expertise and management experienceKnowledge and experience of construction disputes is strongly preferableBe able to demonstrate technical excellenceDeliver high quality and commercially focused adviceHave experience of client management and practice developmentHave strong business development experienceBe expected to develop and bring in new business to the department for exceptional growthHave a sound knowledge of legal/insurance relationships and their interaction, particularly in the context of liability insuranceDemonstrate first class client care and communication skills across all levelsHave high attention to detail and accurate case management skillsHave excellent written communication skillsBe an effective manager, demonstrating positive and co-operative interaction with team membersWho we are:Markel Group (NYSE - MKL) a Fortune 500 company with over 60 offices in 20+ countries, is a holding company for insurance, reinsurance, specialist advisory and investment operations around the world.We're all about people | We win together | We strive for better | We enjoy the everyday | We think furtherAvencia Consulting are an RPO who provide a recruitment service to our client Markel International.What's in it for you?
