Description

The Directorate of Theatres and Anaesthesia are looking for an enthusiastic and committed nursing professional with proven experience post registration and an interest in Podiatric Surgery services, to join our friendly team.

This is a team leader position supporting the Senior Sister in the day to day running of the service. Our aim is to deliver the highest quality of care for every patient.

Primary location is Belmont but there may be occasions when you will be required to work on the Hereford County site.

The Podiatric Surgery Department is based at our Belmont site on the outskirts of the city, and delivers both an outpatient and theatre service.

The role encompasses support of patients during their outpatient and theatre experience, involving outpatient clinic support, management of nurse led clinics including pre-operative patient assessment, surgical scrub and circulating skills and surgical pre and post
- operative patient care. As such, the role is varied, providing opportunity to develop, maintain and enhance clinical skills in both an outpatient setting and the theatre environment, whilst working alongside a range of multi-disciplinary teams.

Experience within an outpatient setting or the theatre environment would support this role. However, training will be available to support development of further skills.

A flexible approach is essential to support patient care needs in a range of clinical specialties at all stages of their journey through the service.
