    Project Engineer

    Contract Length – 12 months

    Location – Leven, Scotland

    Role Type – On-site

    Description –

    The role is positioned in the Global Brands Supply, Project Engineering team providing Capital Project support to Manufacturing sites including distillation, brewing, spirits and maturation warehousing. The overall purpose of this team is to deliver capital expenditure projects. For this role this includes:

    • Development of requirement specifications in collaboration with others, such as Operations, technical & Engineering Safety Compliance teams.
    • Use specialist knowledge to deliver capex projects to correct technical specification.
    • Development of cost estimates and project schedules.
    • Leading the technical and site implementation of projects ensuring they are successfully commissioned on time and to budget.
    • Co-ordinating and managing external resources.
    • Manage the project life-cycle including capital approval, maintaining accurate financial data, monthly reporting, including spend, forecast, commissioning and project closure.
    • Plan and lead installation and commissioning work, managing communications with customer site teams in coordination with product businesses.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental standards.

    Requirements -

    • mechanical and/or electrical background with knowledge of spirit processes or similar in explosive atmospheres.
    • Proficient project management (end to end project management using a gate process approach) and engineering skills with excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Budget management of complete project cycle.
    • Knowledge and experience with DSEAR, Hazop's, LOPA's, PUWER, SIL, SIS systems & P&ID's.
    • H&S focused with knowledge of latest CDM regulations with experience implementing within projects.
    • 10 years minimum experience delivering projects.
    • Good communication skills (verbal & electronic), stakeholder engagement, building relationships with peers, self-starter and self-motivated, ability to work on own and within a team environment, collaborating efficiently and effectively.
    • Systems - Microsoft word, excel, projects, office, edge & SharePoint
    • Degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
    • Nebosh certified (or similar)
    • APM qualification - Prince 2, SCQF Level 7, PMQ or similar
