    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to join our dynamic team at a leading wastewater engineering company (similar sectors considered. As the Operations Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement. Your exceptional leadership abilities, technical expertise, and strategic mindset will be essential in achieving operational excellence and driving our company's growth.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Leadership and Strategy:

    Develop and implement the company's operational strategies, goals, and objectives in alignment with the overall business strategy throughout the UK

    Provide visionary leadership, inspiring and motivating cross-functional teams to meet and exceed performance targets.

    Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, innovation, and professional development.

    2. Operational Excellence:

    Oversee and optimize all operational processes, systems, and workflows to ensure maximum efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

    Identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance operational performance, streamline processes, and reduce waste.

    Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness, identify trends, and address any issues proactively.

    3. Project and Resource Management:

    Lead project management activities, ensuring timely execution, cost control, and adherence to quality standards.

    Allocate and manage resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and budgets, to meet project requirements and organizational goals.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, maintenance, and procurement, to ensure seamless project delivery.

    4. Regulatory Compliance:

    Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant environmental regulations, permits, and compliance requirements.

    Collaborate with regulatory agencies, ensuring all operational activities meet legal and environmental standards.

    Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with compliance and maintain a strong safety culture.

    5. Client Relationship Management:

    Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

    Collaborate closely with the sales and business development teams to identify new opportunities and contribute to the growth of the company.

    Resolve any client issues or concerns promptly and effectively, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.

    Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental sciences, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

    Extensive experience in operations management within the wastewater engineering industry, including project management expertise.

    Strong technical knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, regulations, and best practices.

    Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing multidisciplinary teams.

    Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

    Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.

    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

    Strong business acumen with the ability to drive growth and profitability.

    A close working relationship with FD/FC to assure compliance across departments.

    An understanding of accounting practices and policies to include balance sheets, P&L, taxation, depreciation policies, and revenue recognition/% complete and budget planning.

    Travel essential to US and Europe.

    Attend and build presentations to board, clients and financial institutes

    Previous experience overseeing a circa $17M + Company P&L
