As a General Maintenance Operative, you will be expected to support the maintenance operation in place on the site. This support is co-ordinated through the Night Shift Team Leader who will guide and direct the daily duties of work.

The key focus of this role is to undertake and maintain all the centre's facilities to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

General basic maintenance:

Office & Furniture moves:

Painting:

Changing light fittings:

Carrying out routine audit checks within toilet areas

Erection and dismantling of mall kiosks
***:

Erection and removal of mall security barriers/fencing on malls each night as directed by the client

Assisting maintenance team as required
***:

Repairing and maintaining hot and cold-water services including replacement of sanitary ware and clearing of drains

Ensuring all contractors are working within Westfield guidelines when working in the centre
***:

Responding to site emergencies as requested by the management

Professional and personal competencies/qualifications

Proven ability and experience in a similar role

Proven technical ability with extensive experience in a related building trade

The ability to work at heights and have or willing to take IPAF/MEWPs certificate

Ability to work to tight deadlines
:

Proven experience of working in a customer services environment

Possess a working knowledge of relevant building and health and safety Legislation
***:
-
This role requires a flexible working pattern - shift work, weekends, bank holidays and overtime when required and to be available to travel at short notice
