- Job Title: Transport Manager
- Salary: £4 to £45000
- Location: Lisburn
- Plan, direct and coordinate the efficient running of the day-to-day distribution operation
- Lead, manage and motivate the distribution team to ensure quality of service is maintained
- Manage department spend on fuel, maintenance, driver uniforms and capital items
- Manage resources to ensure driver, vehicle and other equipment, such as crates and cages, availability to meet daily delivery requirements, while ensuring spare vehicles are available when needed
- Recruit replacement staff as and when required
- Assist with the planning for and roll out of RMA replacement
- Ensure legal compliance at all times, with regard to driver hours, vehicle checks and laden weights, taking remedial action as and when required
- Being first point of contact for customer and delivery issues each morning, organising corrective action as required
- Ensure the good housekeeping of the fleet at all times
- Work with management to develop scorecard and performance indicators for distribution department
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with other members of management team
- 2+ Years experience in a Transport Management role
- Previous experience in the Food Production/FMCG industry
- Full UK Drivers License
