The Role:
As a Mainframe zOS Administrator, you will be primarily responsible for the seamless Mainframe Operations delivery which includes maintaining, upgrading and supporting the z/OS operating system
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, upgrade, and support the z/OS operating system and systems automation.
Maintain, upgrade and support 3rd Party Products.
Own responsibility for seamless Mainframe Operations delivery.
Apply licenses to the tools as required.
Monitor jobs and manage capacity for mainframe systems.
Perform disaster Recovery activities – Including planning & testing disaster recovery scenarios.
Ensure preparation for new SysresIPL.Oversee hardware management Console activities.
Your Profile:
Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Knowledge of System Automation.
Experience with the Upgrade/maintenance of all 3rd Party Products.
Experience with applying licenses to the tools as required.
Knowledge of Jobs monitoring.
Experience with capacity management for mainframe systems.
Ability to perform Disaster Recovery activities – Including planning & testing disaster recovery scenarios.
Ability to perform Hardware Management Console activities.
Knowledge of preparation for new SysresIPL.Mainframe Storage – Hands on backup, restore of datasets.
Mainframe Security- Hands on with RACF & ACF2.
