THE ROLE:
You will be working as a Teaching Assistant (either qualified or unqualified) in a specialist School based in Dukinfield.

You will be working as part of a dedicated team of special needs teaching assistants, who support a number of children with SEND needs.

In this particular instance you will be supporting a pupil who is a manual wheelchair user, therefore previous experience of manual handling and assisting young people or adults using a wheelchair would be absolutely necessary.

This role is a long term and full time role. Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:15pm.

It will run on to the end of this academic year, and will begin again in the new academic year in September should you wish to continue on for another year or more.

This Ofsted "Outstanding" rated Specialist School, is based in the heart of Tameside, and not only boasts ample parking but is also very easily accessible by public transport with the nearest bus stop being immediately outside the school, and two local train stations located less than a mile away.

YOU WILL NEED:
Ideally you will have your Manual Handling Certificate, and either of the following:

Previous experience of supporting pupils who use wheelchairs in a specialist school setting.

Previous experience supporting young people, adults, or elderly people, who use wheelchairs/hoists/swings in a care setting.
