My client within the defence industry is currently hiring for a Senior Systems Engineer to be a part of their platform installation team in order to oversee configuration management and ensure compliance with processes and equipment standards.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days on sight in Surrey/Kingston. Inside IR35. Must have active and transferable SC Clearance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide advice on service, infrastructure design, and specifications.
  • Serve as the bridge of communication between the Platform Installation team and other project delivery teams.
  • Integrate newly installed system hardware and software components.
  • Test and verify systems products from external suppliers and the internal Common Infrastructure team.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and manage changes to equipment build status and test documentation.
  • Mentor and support other members of the Installation team as needed.
  • Ensure products align with test plans requirements.
  • Gather requirements, develop integrated and systemlevel verification tests, and update test documentation, processes, and tools.
Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in systemlevel and integration testing.
  • Experience testing military products.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification or experience in an engineering discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered status.
  • Experience with DOORS for requirements capture.
