    About the role

    The DBFO pipeline of work from the client Connect Roads and National Highways has increased by 10-14M per year over the next 2 years

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database & reporting administrato r to oversee the management of our highways assets data based out of either Derby or Leeds.

    You'll be responsible for the input, management, and reporting of asset data related to highways, ensuring efficient reporting and accurate data management at this critical time in the DBFO project lifecycle

    The role has been determine as required to develop update and manage the scheme information for the M1A1 DBFO project

    What you'll be doing

    The role tasks and responsibilities that have been identified are:

    Data Management:

  • Input and manage comprehensive asset data on highways assets, including but not limited to pavements, bridges, signs, and lighting, using Asset Management X (AMX) software or similar.
  • Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate detailed reports and analyses on the status, condition, and performance of highways assets to support decision-making and strategic planning, this includes generating regular and ad-hoc reports as required by the contract and client.
  • Data Integration:

  • Transfer and integrate asset data into National Highways specified asset databases, including TPMS (Traffic Management Systems), HAPMS (Highways Agency Pavement Management System), HAGDMS (Highways Agency Geotechnical Data Management System), and HADDMS (Highways Agency Drainage Data Management System).
  • Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure all data management and reporting activities comply with National Highways standards, data quality requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and operational teams to ensure asset data reflects real-world conditions and supports effective highways management.
  • Liaise with National Highways and other stakeholders to provide data insights and support informed decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and implement improvements in data management processes, tools, and technologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and value of highways asset data management.
  • Who we're looking for

    We'd like you to be confident , a good communicator, likes the balance of working with a team and working solo, quick learner and driven to develop themselves. Somebody who likes solving problems, fixing things, and task focused on getting things done, with an attention to detail
    Qualifications:
  • Qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in database management
  • Strong proficiency with AMX software or similar asset management systems.
  • Experience with National Highways asset databases (TPMS, HAPMS, HAGDMS, HADDMS) is highly advantageous.
  • Expert / very proficient with Microsoft excel, (formula's tables, graphs and analysis)
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
