    Location: Switzerland Bern Base location /Germany/UK

    Remote from above country (Need to travel Bern if required)

    German (native speaker) and English

    Salary:40-50 k

    2-3 years' experience as a fibre designer.

    Job Description:

    Fibre designer - will play a pivotal role in understanding project requirements from a technical perspective and coordinate with customers and the project delivery teams on processes, delivery and quality. The role requires excellent communication skills in both German and English to interact with customers and project teams effectively.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Communication with the customer (email & verbal) in German and interaction with the project teams in English.
    • Familiarise oneself with the technology environment within the customer to better align project deliverables and requirements.
    • Proactively identify and address technical and process-related challenges.
    • Gain a deep understanding of fibre technology and its applications within the telecommunications industry.
    • Collaborate effectively within hybrid and offshore teams, fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
    • Adapt quickly to changing project requirements and priorities, demonstrating flexibility and agility in approach.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Fluency in both written and spoken German and English is essential.
    • 2-3 years' experience as a fibre designer.
    • Knowledge of GE Smallworld would be beneficial.
    • Other GIS skills is mandatory.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and address challenges before they escalate.
    • Team player with a collaborative approach to work, comfortable working in diverse and distributed teams.
    • Ability to train project team with the technical details.
    • The role requires visiting customer, in Switzerland, as and when needed.
