    Description
    *Project Manager*The main job is as follows:Project handover from estimating


    • Check architectural drawings for possible build sequence and detailing issues
    • Check specifications have been fully adhered to through estimating including any exclusions
    • Check that what has been allowed for is in line with building regulations
    • Create a project programme to include design/procurement/manufacture durations
    Design period


    • Periodically check design development drawings for possible build sequence and detailing issues
    • Periodically check design development drawings to suggest any more cost efficient design solutions
    • Check any structural design calculations for specific QA items to be include within the project ITP
    • Create the project ITP and QA documentation
    Procurement period


    • Identify longer lead items and push the design team to approve these within the required lead in
    • Monitor the timescale to commencement date of when orders are being placed
    • Cursory check the material schedules for anomalies
    • Once orders are placed periodically, monitor the fabrication timescales for supplier materials to ensure the agreed delivery dates are met
    • Liaise with suppliers regarding site logistical requirements
    • Liaise with hire companies to arrange project access requirements
    • Review project installation programme and update in line with agreed install sequence
    Installation period


    • Reviewing the project design and site conditions create the method statement and the risk assessment of those proposed methods
    • Ensure all works on site are undertaken in accordance with safe working practices and current Health and Safety legislation, be constantly vigilant to change or potential hazards with risk assessments in place, encouraging such vigilance among all site personnel including the supply chain
    • Ensure the project is completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standard by monitoring progress versus programme on a weekly basis
    • Liaise with our Site Managers to keep in line with the agreed site visitation programme, making sure they report back on any variations to contract
    • Co-ordinate and manage the site team on a project to ensure that Health and Safety, quality, programme and cost controls are being implemented
    • Ensure project correspondence is being responded to quickly and contractually
    • Communicate with client teams on a regular basis to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained through a collaborative approach
    • Ensure site documentation is being completed by the installation team
    • Ensure site information and paperwork is provided to the relevant department
    • Prepare weekly progress reports to issue to our client management.
    • Report regularly to the Contracts Manager on project progress and matters of Health & Safety.
    • Ensure that accident/incident procedures are followed with the correct paperwork in place
    • Liaise with our Quantity Surveyors on final accounts, subcontract orders, interim valuations and variations
    • Ensure the installations are carried out in accordance with the System Company procedures and drawings
    • Co-ordinate the installation of all specialist bought in items (automatic doors, silicone applicators) with the main contractor making sure that all attendances are resolved
    • Carry out inspections in line with the QA plan to safeguard a good quality installation and finished product.
    Post installation


    • Review the as built, details, products and information against the construction issue drawings and report any changes to the O&M co-ordinator
    • Review the final account figures against the cost plan and report findings
    • Review the whole project and report back any inefficiencies found that may assist the development of the services provided.
    Salary range £38-55K depending on experience
